Esta ilustre família, originária de Rieti, de nobreza clara e antiga, revelada por um arquivo da Comissão dos títulos de nobreza, do governo do Reino das Duas Sicílias, mudou-se para Tricarico (Basilicata), no início do século XVI, com o Germani Giacomo e Pietro, capitão, o primeiro, nos exércitos de Consalvo di Cordova. Por decreto do Senado de Rieti de 10 de janeiro de 1722, os irmãos Nicola e Giuseppe, da citada cidade de Tricarico e seus descendentes, foram contados entre os senadores da cidade de Rieti. Em 1825, Andrea foi nomeada presidente do Banco delle Due Sicilie. Esta família foi reconhecida por sua antiga nobreza pela Comissão de Valores Mobiliários na ocasião dos testes feitos para admissão no RR. Guarda-costas de Ambrogio em 1853 e de seu primo Felice em 1859. A família está registrada na lista italiana com títulos nobres (mf.) Na pessoa de Antonio, de Francesco (dec. 1893),
