Famiglia oriunda da Buriasco con memorie dal secolo XVII. Gianfrancesco Mayneri, il quale nacque a Pinerolo il 1° ottobre 1738, e fu sostituto avvocato fiscale a Susa e giudice a Chianoc (1784), ebbe dal suo matrimonio con Margherita Testa, Bartolomeo e Benedetto, dai quali discesero due linee, la prima comitale e la seconda baronale. Bartolomeo (n. Pinerolo, 21 maggio 1768, deceduto Buriasco, 8 novembre 1848), che fu sostituto avvocato dei poveri, sostituto avvocato fiscale generale (1814), senatore di Piemonte (1816), e messo a riposo col titolo di presidente il 17 marzo 1838, fu creato conte con PP. del 10 maggio 1834. Fu suo figlio primogenito Lodovico (n. Torino, 12 aprile 1795, deceduto Buriasco, 25 novembre 1864), il quale fu sostituto avvocato fiscale di Casale (1822), di Torino (1823), senatore a Torino (1838), presidente di classe (1855), e messo a riposo col titolo di presidente capo il 27 gennaio 1861.
