Ursprünglich aus Tramonti, von Pago, Castellaccio und Salatro beeinflusst. Es wurde dem neapolitanischen Patriziat, dem Sitz von Montagna, zugeschrieben, das ab 1546 in der SMO von Malta erhalten und mit dem Titel Herzog von St. Peter aus dem Jahr 1718 und Marquis auf dem Nachnamen am 4. Mai 1754 ausgezeichnet wurde. Letzter feudaler Inhaber mit dem besagten Titel Herzog von S. Pietro im Coupon des Fürstentums Citra war am 17. Juni 1789 Carlo Maria Amalio Durazzo, der die Nachfolge seines Schutzpatrons Gennaro antrat, der am 11. April desselben Jahres starb. Carlo Marias Sohn Nicola, Vater von Giulio, trat die Nachfolge des besagten Carlo Maria an, bei dessen Tod am 22. April 1893 die besagten Titel an die älteste Tochter Costanza übergingen, die mit dem Adligen verheiratet war. Giulio de Vito Piscicelli, und dann, als dies am 29. Januar 1911 geschah, waren sie bei RR. LL. PP. 13. Oktober 1912, anerkannt
