Graf Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, Patrizier von Rimini, Graf von Montecedruzzo und Sogliano, wurde am 26. August 1814 mit dem Senatus Consulto in den römischen Adel aufgenommen. Sein Sohn Francesco Saverio erbte von den Ripanti di Jesi den Nachnamen und die Titel des Grafen von Malviano und Metrano. Diese Familie, die von den alten Fürsten von Rimini abstammt, wird in Rom immer noch von Graf Sigismondo Malatesta vertreten, der 1901 zu den eingezogenen Patriziern zugelassen wurde.
