Alfio M. gentil'huomo Leontino, hebbe per moglie Adriana Maletti, figlia di Federico Maletti, col feudo di Catalamita in dote, che gli successe suo figlio Paolo, che per ragion della moglie Antoia Stornello, acquistò il feudo di Sant'Andrea nel 1424, con la quale procreò Alfio, Luiggi, e Lucchina moglie di Condisalvo Monroi, Barone di Briemi, del Prascino originato della chiarissima famiglia Monroi di Spagna, della quale hoggi nè vive in Siclia, don Ferdinando Monroi Camariero maggiore dell'Altezza Serenissima don Giovanni d'Austria casato con la Baronessa di Pandolsina, di casa Perollo, come si legge al suo luogo, e della Motta, di Sant'Anastasia, che gli generò Paolo, Pier Andrea Monroi, e Costanza moglie d'Alfio M., il quale procreò Condisalvo, Pierluiggi, e Lucchina moglie d'Artale Mignia Barone del feudo d'Aragona, che se nè investì nel 1479. Questi fù Secretario del Regno, e progenitore della vivente famiglia Mignia. Altro ramo. Originaria di Lentini.
