Della famiglia di Comacchio si hanno notizie sino dal secolo XVI. Ippolito, dal Cardinal Legato di Ferrara, Nicolò Acciaioli, fu dichiarato consigliere della costituzione del Consiglio di Comacchio da lui formata il 21 dicembre 1682. I membri chiamati a far parte di detto consiglio furono scelti fra quelle famiglie che conservavano maggior splendore, come attestano gli storici Ferri e Bonaveri. Il dotto Giov. Battista Amadore, di Orazio, nato a Comacchio il 3 marzo 1736, fu professore di filosofia, e lasciò fama di buon letterato, e di lui si fa menzione nell'opera "Scrittori Ferraresi" che si conserva nella civica biblioteca di Ferrara. Eletto priore e capo del Magistrato di Comacchio il 20 marzo 1776, conservò tale carica per tutto l'anno successivo. Al dott. Amadore successe nel consiglio il figlio Gabriello Paolino, nato il 9 dicembre 1785. Egli fu assai dotto in giurisprudenza e decoro della città di Comacchio. A lui successe
