Antiga e nobre família veneziana de Verona se espalhou ao longo dos séculos em várias regiões da Itália. O comendador GB di Crollalanza relata o brasão desta família nos volumes de seu histórico dicionário de brasões de famílias nobres e notáveis italianas. As famílias estrangeiras, que passaram a residir em Verona depois de 1420 e que, tendo posses na cidade ou no território, foram inscritas na amostra da avaliação, embora muitas delas fossem de origem ilustre, mesmo com exceção de alguns casos não foram agregados ao Conselho Nobre senão depois de meio século e outros depois de cem anos, e até duzentos, e ainda mais. Aqueles que foram nobres, assim que foram admitidos no Conselho, tornaram-se nobres. Mas não se deve acreditar que todos adquiriram a nobreza no ano em que passaram a pertencer a ele; muitos deles já eram nobres antes de se juntarem a nós.
