Alte und adelige spanische Familie mit klarer und angestammter Tugend, die sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte weltweit verbreitet hat. Berenguer March aus Katalonien siedelte seine Familie auf Mallorca an. Tatsächlich war er an der Eroberung der Insel beteiligt und profitierte von der Landverteilung mit der Farm Bini-Calam im Bezirk Montuiri. Don José María March, geboren am 24. Februar 1804 in Palma de Mallorca, wurde zum Schatzmeister der Staatskasse der damaligen Provinz Canarias ernannt und heiratete Doña Juana de la Ascensión Elvira Josefa Joaquina García de Mesa, geboren in La Laguna de Teneriffa am 15. Mai 1822. Die Hochzeit fand am 24. Dezember 1841 in der Parroquia del Sagrario statt. Aus dieser Verbindung wurden geboren: 1) Don José María Joaquín, Generalleutnant der königlichen Armeen, geboren am 7. Oktober 1842 und verheiratet mit Doña Josefa Cañamás Feliú, von der er zwei Kinder hatte; 2) Emilio August, Generalleutnant der Nationalarmeen, Generalkapitän der Kanarischen
