Illustri patrizi leccesi che ebbero grande autorità in patria. Francesco avendo sposato Violante de Laba figlia di Giovanni castellano nel castello di Lecce, la quale gli portò in dote nel 1423 once 400 per le quali il marito obbligò il casale Botraneo. Roggero e Tommaso nel 1288 furono chiamati pro servito Curiae tra i baroni della provincia. Lo stesso Ruggero nel 1335 otteneva il regio assenso per la donazione dei feudagli di Poggiardo fatta a suo figlio Adinetto dalla sua ava Mabilia de Baro. Lodovico, nel 1378 difese la città di Lecce contro i Brettoni della Compagnia bianca capitanata da Giovanni Hawckwood, e le bandiere da lui guadagnate in quel fatto d'armi furono depositate nella chiesa di S. Eligio. A Campi Salentino, che fu uno dei feudi di questa famiglia, sorge un monumento sepolcrale, nella chiesa collegiata con statua e colla seguente iscrizione: R. C. O. U. Bellisario Maremontio Proceri
