Ancienne et illustre famille abruzzaise, de vertu claire et ancestrale, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie et d'Europe. Des archives d'État de Naples, précisément dans les Affaires de la "Commission royale des titres de noblesse", volume 3, nous constatons que Ferdinando Marimpietri, de L'Aquila, a eu la confirmation de la noblesse en 1852. Bernardino Iatosti, dans son "Histoire d'Avezzano", raconte la visite que le roi Bourbon Ferdinand II a faite à Avezzano au milieu du XIXe siècle, où il a été reçu au Palazzo Marimpietri ; à la fin du déjeuner, après avoir longuement bu le vin local, il prononça : « Un excellent champagne d'Avezzano ! ». À Corcumello, il y a un autre palais noble des Marimpietri, acheté par la famille noble de Pontibus. Nous nous souvenons également d'un baron Andrea Marimpietri, ou Marimpietro, ancien conseiller de district de L'Aquila en 1844, mais nous ne trouvons
