Marinha, natural da Galiza, que a lenda diz tê-la seus marido, andando à caça, junto da praia, visto entre uns rochedos, de onde a tirara, pelo que os descendentes se chamaram Marinhos. Viveu na terra de Valadares, na Torre dos Marinhos, junto da Galiza. De D. Frojão e de sua mulher D. Marinha nasceu D. João Forjaz M., que casou com D. Elvira Ordonhes e Bovida, filha de D. Garcia Ordonhes de Bovida, e tiveram vários filhos que seguiram e propagaram o apelido de M.. Certamente que o apelido não se origem no facto referido, por ser lendário, nem mesmo em a mulher de D.
