Famiglia logudorese le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XII. Apparteneva al novero delle famiglie dei majorales ed era tra le più potenti del giudicato di Torres. Mantenne la propria posizione in seno all'oligarchia comunale e all'avvento degli Aragonesi si avvicinò ad essi. Nel 1435 un Giovanni divenne appaltatore delle rendite reali del Meilogu, suo figlio Tomaso prese parte alle guerre nel napoletano e nel 1443 ebbe il riconoscimento della generosità. I suoi figli formarono due diversi rami della famiglia: Angelo ebbe vaste prorpietà allodiali nel Meilogu, divenne capitano di Sassari. In seguito il feudo di Costaval; nel 1454 acquistò dai Saba l'incontrada di Oppia con Ardara e Mores; sposò Rosa Gambella che gli portò in dote la Romangia e Sorso.
