Famiglia catalana un cui ramo si trasferì a Cagliari nel secolo XIV con un Pietro, che partecipò alla spedizione dell'Infante Alfonso. Egli ottenne dal re la Promessa di un feudo in riconoscenza dei suoi servizi; nel 1334 suo figlio Michele divenne vicario reale di Cagliari e nel 1338 ottenne i feudi di Giba, Piscinas e Sauli. I suoi figil formarono due diversi rami della famiglia: Tommaso continuò il ramo feudale, che però si estinse poco dopo. Raimondo ebbe in feudo Donori e Parasoli in Parte Dolia, ma morì nel 1378 ed i feudi passarono a sua figlia Margherita. Fu costume delle più antiche famiglie, le quali dopo la caduta del Romano Imperio, in quella inondatione de' Barbari, havendo i loro cognomi, sicome gli studi, e altre cose belle smarrito e restati solo con semplici nomi, trarre di nuovo i loro cognomi, e il loro casato da' nomi proprii paterni, e
