Originario de Alemania, trasplantado a Italia a mediados del siglo XIV por un Giovanni que, trayendo consigo mucho dinero, hizo la compra de muchas propiedades en Possagno bajo Asolo y en Valdobiadene, y porque había establecido su hogar en Martignago. , de este lugar tomó su apellido que pasó a sus descendientes. Bianchino, su hijo, por haber trabajado valientemente en defensa del castillo de la Coste contra la gente de Valmarino, mereció con su padre, y con Bartolomeo, Taddeo y Rambaldo, sus hermanos y sus descendientes, ser declarado noble rusticani. Girolamo provveditore y gobernador de las máquinas de guerra de SM Cesarca en 1511. Fue adscrita al Noble Consejo de Treviso en 1410, y fue confirmada en su nobleza con resolución soberana el 5 de mayo de 1820.
