Antichissima ed eccelsa famiglia, da tempo remoto ascritta al seggio Dommova di Sorrento. Un Giovanni fu consigliere e segretario di Ferdinando il Cattolico, nominato reggente del supremo Consiglio del Collaterale dall'Imp. Carlo V. Filippo e Vittorio prodi capitani. Estinta in principio del XIX secolo. Dice il Campanile Filiberto nella sua ricerca bibliografica "Dell'armi, ovvero insegne dei nobili, ove sono i discorsi di alcune famiglie, così spente, come vive nel Regno di Napoli", stampato in Napoli nel 1618, longo 4°. Sommo vanto dar si può certamente un'antica famiglia, che senza dar di piglio alle favole, come proprie dell'affumicata antichità, può con Istorica verità mostrar'al Mondo la sua Origine, benche da lungo tempo invecchiata. Tal vanto senz'alcun fallo può attribuirsi questa famiglia
