Feudataria estense di Rebecco con titolo comitale. Il conte Tiburzio fu plenipotenziario di Francesco I d'Este per la conclusione del trattato di pace col Duca di Parma nel 1636, poi ministro alla Corte di Roma, e finalmente governatore della Garfagnana. Monsignor Lodovico, di lui figlio, fu Vescovo di Modena dal 1692 al 1716. Il conte Marcello, nipote del precedente, fu gentiluomo del Duca Rinaldo e segretario della Duchessa Carlotta di Brunswick, e letterato distinto, morto nel 1732. Estinta nella casa dei Marchesi Cortesi di Modena.
