Antica ed assai nobile famiglia di probabile origine veneta passata nel Nizzardo ove fu fregiata del titolo di Consignori di Castelnuovo nel contado di Nizza. Nel corso dei secoli la famiglia si è propagata in diverse regioni del territorio Italiano.
