Le prime notizie accertate sui N., nonostante il Salice ed il Carnevale appigliandosi ad un'inesistente cronacadi fra Jacopo Buxeto informino che nel 1115 era console di Tortona Alardo N. e nel 1122 Lanfranco, risalgono al 1210 anno in cui il 31 luglio Assalito di Mongiardino si sottomette al comune di Tortona ed uno dei garanti è Enrico N. membro della Credenza; questi è pure teste in atto del 29 agosto 1210 ove la colletività di Mongiardino giura fedeltà ai consoli tortonesi; secondo il Goggi i N, avrebbero partecipato alla terza crociata in Terrasanta nel 1189-1892 nella quale perì annegato Federico Barbarossa. Eletto al seggio consolare, detto Enrico il 16 maggio 1224 delibera con i colleghi in merito alla somma di lire mille che il comune di Tortona s'impegna versare al marchese Del Bosco a saldo dell'acquisto del luogo omonimo; il 312 gennaio 1228 il Consiglio generale di Milano emana sentenza
