Famiglia oriunda da Alessandria. Giovanni Marco, che fu protomedico, procreò Urbano il quale fu medico come il padre. Ebbe costui gran parte nei moti del '21 e fu condannato a morte il 19 luglio di detto anno. Da lui nacque Giuseppe, che fu segretario della città di Alessandria e giurò coi nobili nel 1822. Sposò Isabella di Pio Giuseppe Bocca, e da queste nozze nacquero Urbano e Giacomo. Urbano fu famoso avvocato a Casale. Datosi alla vita politica venne nominato deputato dalla prima alla seconda e fu più volte ministro e presidente del Consiglio. Fu inoltre insignito del Supreno ordine della SS. Annunziata. Sposò Letizia di Tomaso Wyse e Letizia Bonaparte, vedova del conte Solms, e da queste nozze nacque in Roma il 21 genn. 1871 Roma che sposò Luis Villanova de la Cuadra. Giacomo fu conservatore delle ipoteche e venne pure, come il fratello, nominato deputato nella nona legislatura.
