Nel corso dei secoli alcuni membri di questa illustre casata si propagarono in diverse regioni d'Italia e vi furono accolti nelle importanti cariche della città dove ebbero dimora, inoltre si leggono alcune varianti di questo cognome, dovute alle solite cause della pronunzia dialettale e dal modo di interpretare nella scritturazione i cognomi. Pare molto riguardevoli i soggetti viventi di questa famiglia che con tanto decoro sostentano questo così antico cognome che ha avuto uomini di Consiglio, e altri soggetti illustri, ma l'antichità della presente famiglia accompagnata con la scarsezza delle scritture
