Antigua y noble familia de Umbría, originaria de Trevi, que se extendió a lo largo de los siglos en varias regiones de Italia. Hay información documentada por la niñera de Bovra desde el siglo XV, a principios del siglo XVII erigieron una suntuosa residencia entre la actual Via Fantosati y Via della Piaggia en Trevi. El libro de los escudos de armas en el archivo municipal de Trevi, elaborado a fines del siglo XVII, no muestra las armas nobles de las numerosas familias ilustres de Trevi que en ese momento ya estaban extintas o asentadas en otras regiones.
