E' la stessa famiglia sopradescritta che fu ammessa alla Nobiltà Pratese nel 1831 e a quella di Livorno nel 1838. Emilio di Vincenzo Maria per conseguita eredità aggiunse i due cognomi Zarini-Martini inquartando nella sua arme quelle di queste famiglie. Godettero degli onori pubblici in Prato fino dal 1670. Niccolò di Giovanni, che ottenne la nobiltà pratese con Rescritto del 29 ottobre 1830, fondò una commenda nell'Ordine di S.Stefano, ordine fondato da Cosimo I de' Medici il 15 marzo del 1562, ad imitazione di quello Gerosolimitano, col duplice scopo di difendere nel Mar Tirreno il commercio d'Italia dalle piraterie barbaresche, e di liberare i Cristiani dalla schiavitù della potenza ottomana. La visita fatta alle sue marine scrive lo storico Galluzzi aveva fatto conoscere a Cosimo l'importanza e la necessità di guardarle dalle incursioni dei Turchi. Immaginò pertanto di erigere un Ordine Militare, con cui conseguisse lo stesso intento senza risentirne
