Familie ursprünglich aus Neapel. Mit einem echten Privileg vom 14. Februar 1733 wurde es mit dem Titel eines Prinzen geschmückt und dann mit einem Dekret der R. Camera della Sommaria vom 31. März 1762 über sein Lehen von Marzano festgelegt. Das Lehen von Rocca Monfina in Terra di Lavoro besaß ebenfalls diese Familie, die zusammen mit dem des Herzogs von Quadri unter dem Titel Baron an die Familie Catemario überging. Es ist in der offiziellen Liste mit dem Titel Adliger (mf.) Für die Nachkommen des Gaetano-Prinzen von Marzano eingetragen. Letzterer war der letzte Inhaber im Jahr 1781 im Coupon von Terra di Lavoro.
