E' un ramo dell'omonima famiglia di Firenze, che fiorisce tuttora, e di cui fu capostipite un Giovanco che vivea nel 1300, dal quale discendono un Giuliano che nel 1476 fu del magistrato de priori, nel 1487 gonfaloniere della repubblica e nel 1490 podestà di Prato; un Francesco, figlio del precedente, che fu uno dei priori nel 1493, 1503 e 1522 e gonfaloniere dlela repubblica enl 1515; un Raffaele stato anch'esso priore nel 1523 e gonfaloniere nel 1534, quindi senatore nel 1532 commissario a Pisa nel 1542 ed a Pistoja nel 1545; un Giovanni che ebbe il titolo di marchese di S. Angelo, generale di artiglieria, preside dle Consiglio di guerra e sopraintendente delle fortezze nel 1643; ed un altro Raffaele commissario di Pistoja nel 1656, senatore nel 1666, commissario di Arezzo e di Cortona, gentiluomo di camera del Granduca Ferdinando II, commissario generale delle bande ducali e governatore di Livorno.

Cimiero: Un falcone al naturale tenente nel suo becco d'oro un anello dello stesso, e nella sua zampa destra levata un listello d'argento in cui si legge la parola Semper in lettere majuscole di nero.
