Originalmente da Espanha, floresceu na nobreza messinesa e palermitana no século XVI. Um Thomas foi juiz da corte Straticoziale de Messina em 1541-42; um Antonello, de Messina, foi algozirio real em 1548; Bartolomeu era professor de campo e castelão do pesadelo de Palermo; um Mario foi senador de Catania em 1691-92; Antonio era tenente de cavalaria em 1707; outro Antonio era um oficial sênior do secretariado real da Sicília, cargo ocupado por seu filho Salvatore em 1777, que obteve pela última vez em 8 de outubro de 1777 um certificado de nobreza do Senado de Palermo. Entre as famílias mais antigas e ilustres da França e da Espanha que floresceram no tempo do Regi francês de Carolea, e das casas reais espanholas, Aragão, Castela e outras, essa família viveu com esplendor, da qual então estava sob os auspícios militares e governos passaram na Itália e nas várias regiões, regiões opulentas
