Dataico Medin, autore di questa famiglia precedente da Raslau Medin, che fu padre di Mado, marito di Angelina, nipote del principe Bausa, fu insignito fin dall'anno 1355, con tutti i suoi discendenti maschi, da Stefano, imperatore di Servia, del titolo di Conte e Bano di Lastua in Pastrovich alle marine, con la fortezza di Gionogevaz, unitamente alle terre di Brestovich e Zamindol con le Case Martinovich, Dobroslavich, Slavine, Ruzzovich e Celentovich, con piena giurisdizione civile e criminale e colla sola dipendenza dal suddetto Imperatore. Con diploma 15 marzo 1576 dell'imperatore Massimiliano, il conte Michele ed il fratello di lui Gasparo furono creati nobili del regno di Ungheria con tutta la loro discendenza. Questo diploma fu ammesso e riconosciuto con terminazione dei Provveditori sopra Feudi della Repubblica veneta in data 25 settembre 1747 a favore di Stefano, tenente colonnello e padre di Girolamo, Pietro Giovanni, Giov. Battista ed Alberto Giovanni. I
