Alte und sehr adelige piemontesische Familie, ursprünglich aus S. Germano Vercellese, die sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte in verschiedenen italienischen Regionen verbreitet hat, mit einem vorherrschenden Zweig im Gebiet von Udine und weltweit. Giovanni Giacomo, geboren in St. Germano, Sohn von Thomas, war Konsul von St. Germano, Gouverneur in Spanien und im Piemont (1601). Giovanni Tommaso (geboren in Turin, getauft am 9. April 1593), sein Sohn, hatte den Rang eines Hauptmanns. Er hatte viele Nachkommen. Erstgeborener war Pietro Filiberto (gestorben am 20. April 1788), Unterbrigadier der Leibgarde (1694), der sein Wappen am 4. August 1687 aufzeichnete. Sein Sohn war Giuseppe Amedeo (geboren in Turin am 9. März 1694, gestorben dort am 17. November 1743), Kriegsminister (1731), der der Vater von Giuseppe Giacinto war, Generalkontrolleur des Großmagisteriums Mauriziano. Ein Zweig der gleichen Familie blühte im 16.
