Ancient and very noble Piedmontese family, originally from S. Germano Vercellese, that has spread, over the centuries, in different Italian regions, with a predominant branch in the territory of Udine, and worldwide. Giovanni Giacomo, born in St. Germano, son of Thomas, was consul of Saint Germano, governor in Spain and in Piedmont (1601). Giovanni Tommaso (born in Turin, baptised on April 9, 1593), his son, had the rank of captain. He had many offspring. Firstborn was Pietro Filiberto (deceased on April 20, 1788), under-brigadier in bodyguards (1694), who recorded his coat of arms on August 4, 1687. His son was Giuseppe Amedeo (born in Turin, March 9, 1694, died there, November 17, 1743), secretary of War (1731), who was the father of Giuseppe Giacinto, general controller of the Grand Magisterium Mauriziano. A branch of the same family flourished in Vercelli in the 16th century but it also had vast possessions
