Familia descendiente en legítima Baronía de Pedro Fernández de Almeida, quien fuera Oidor de las Indias a donde fue en compañía del Virrey Conde de Paronca y luego de regresar al reino, se casó con Doña Isabel Saraiva de Alburqueque, hija de Diego de Albuqueque, hidalgo-escudero, señor del Feudo de Outeiro, en Peñalva de Castelo y allí fundo la capilla de San Antonio por testamento el 23 de enero de 1538 y de su mujer Doña Isabel Savoriva de Fonseca. De este ilustre solar es hijo el plecaro Doctor Diego de Albuquerque Oidor General de Indias y Caballero de la Orden de Cristo el 6 de abril de 1590 y señor del mencionado feudo de Oleteiro y de su matrimonio con Doña Guiomarda Rocha Corta Real y Castro de Coimbra, nació su sucesor Rodríguez de Albuquerque y Castro hidalgo Caballero de C.R., caballero de la Orden de Cristo,
