Fundada em Valenza Po por cerca de dois séculos, possui belas tradições de honra e civilização. A genealogia, compilada por D. Oliviero, I Menada, é impressa. Começa com Bartolomeo, nascido em 1565 e morreu em Casale Corte Cerro em 1º de maio de 1627. Sua descida mais tarde mudou-se para Feriolo e depois, em meados do século XVIII, para Valenza, onde Giacomo nasceu, prefeito de naquela cidade nos anos de 1821 e 1823. Casara-se com Angela Battezzati, de quem teve, entre outros filhos, Giovanni, autor da linha ainda hoje amplamente representada, e Salvatore. Este último, nascido em Valenza em 1789 e falecido em Turim em 1879, foi inicialmente enobrecido com Lettere Patenti em 13 de fevereiro de 1827, depois criou o barão com PP. 19 de maio de 1832.
