Famiglia orrevolissima, prima detta M., indi Da Reggio per essere di là venuta a Verona. Antonio Reggia del già signor Rainero insieme co' suoi figli Pietro, Luigi e Filippo nel 1411 venne ascritto alla cittadinanza veronese. Nello stesso secolo Filippo e Carlo furono Canonici della nostra Cattedrale. Un Antonio ebbe luogo nel Nobile Consiglio Veronese. Nel 1405, Luigi o Lodovico nel 1517, Gio. Pietro l'anno 1582, e Bartolommeo nel 1616 fu l'ultimo ascrittovi di questa casa. Un'altra famiglia, pure detta Merescalchi, da Piacenza si traslocò in Verona, e un suo Giovanni fu nel 1441 Rettore di S.Giusto, allora chiesa parrocchiale. L'anno 1388, come scrive il Dal Pozzo, Bartolommeo Da Reggia di Cremona fu Giudice veronese. La detta casa reggiana M., o Da Reggia, portava l'Arma affatto diversa da quella che porta la Nobile veronese Miniscalchi, prima detta anch'essa Merescalchi, e differente da tutte e due l'hanno i M. o
