Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Hervé, l'un des légataires d'Hervé, vicomte de Léon en 1363; Bernard, écuyer dans une montre de 1378; Hervé, époux en 1400 de Perronnelle de Kerbounan, père de Bernard, vivant en 1447, marié à Jeanne, dame de Coëtarmoal; Troïluz, page et favori de Catherine de Médicis en 1550, gouverneur de Morlaix en 1568, chevalier de l'ordre, en 1569 président de la noblesse aux Etats de Nantes en 1574, vice-roi de Terre-Neuve en 1578, gouverneur de Saint-Lô et Carentan en 1597, marié: avant 1566 à Claude du Juch, veuve de Rolland de Lezongar; à Marguerite de Tournemine, décédée en 1606, sans postérité, laissant pour héritière Anne, sa nièce, femme de Vincent de Coëtanezre, dont la fille unique, Anne, épousa en 1595 Charles de Kernezne.
