Antica famiglia anteriore al 1300. Nel loro stemma vi sono due crescenti, che in araldica, in generale sta molte volte a significare l'auspicato accrescimento delle fortune della famiglia, come la luna crescente. L'oro nel primo campo dello scudo è il più nobile metallo del blasone, simboleggia la forza, la fede, la ricchezza, il comando. Il rosso, colore nel secondo campo di questo stemma simboleggia l'audacia, il valore, la nobiltà cospicua, la fortezza e può anche indicare sangue sparso in battaglia. La banda è di colore azzurro, che è il colore del cielo, simboleggia infatti tutte le idee che salgono in alto; rappresenta la fermezza incorruttibile a somiglianza del cielo, che non è soggetto a corruzione; è simbolo di gloria poichè questa si innalza sulle cose terrene della virtù, dote celeste.
