Alte und edle sizilianische Familie von klarer und überlieferter Tugend, deren Zweig auch in Malta, wo er zu den fürstlichen Abstammungslinien gezählt wurde, edel gediehen ist. Der Vorfahr befindet sich in einem Corrado, dem Chef der Wache von König Pietro d'Aragona. In Sizilien besaß die Familie die Lehen von Gurafi, Comichi und Crucifia. Ein Giovan Luca hatte für den Tod seines Vaters Giovan Bernardo die Position eines Notars des portulanischen königlichen Amtes für das Privileg des 30. Januar 1519; Ein Peter, dessen Privileg am 10. November 1539 erteilt wurde und der am 16. Dezember 1547 hingerichtet wurde, wurde zum königlichen Geheimnis von Noto ernannt. Ein Michael wurde am 10. Juli 1548 zum Gläubiger der Fleischgabelle von Noto ernannt, und er selbst hatte mit dem Privileg vom 29. Mai 1548 die Konzession des Titels des königlichen Ritters mit der Anerkennung und dem Wachstum des edlen Wappens erhalten. ein Pietro Antonio war
