Fu chiaro ne' tempi del Re Federico secondo di Sicilia Giovanni Micco gentilhuomo Bolognese, e carissimo a Manfredo Chiaramonte Conte di Modica, procreò egli a Guglielmo gentilhuomo potente, ma adherendo a i rubbelli del Re Fede rico ivi perdè la vita, e i beni, i quali furono concessi dal medesimo Re al Dottor Pietro Serra di Siragusa nel 1375 e lascio un sol figliuolo fanciullo chiamato Giovanni che dopo sotto il reggimento del Re Martino ricovero parte de' paterni beni. Servì anche costui in molte guerre al Re Alfonso, per il che quel Re lo creò cavaliero dello spron d'oro con alcuni territorij, e raggion di gabelli,ela Castellania di Milazzo insieme, e nel Privilegio della concessione, il medesimo Re lo chiama.
