Antica famiglia originaria di Brescia e discendente da Filippino, fratello di Giovanni, il quale fu creato conte del S. Palazzo Lateranense nel 1396 con tutti i suoi discendenti dall'Imperat. Venceslao, e nel 1407 ottenne la cittadinanza di Verona, di cui fu poi giudice. Luigi, figlio di Filippino, nel 1431 fu ascritto al nobile Consiglio veronese. Nel 1516 Giovanni e Marco ebbero dall'Imperat. Massimiliano il castello di Moratica, col titolo comitale. Un ramo di questa casa ebbe anche diritti sopra Cavalcaselle, che ottenne dalla Signoria di Venezia con istrumento d'acquisto 5 Lug. 1408 ed investitura feudale 4 Lug. 1665. Con sovrana risoluzione del 1819, Francesco I Imperat. d'Austria confermò il titolo di conte a Pietro Emili. Altro ramo. Ha dato 12 decurioni alla patria, il primo de' quali fu Onofrio nel 1172, e l'ultimo Giovan-Andrea nel 1502.
