La genealogia documentata di questa nobile famiglia risale al secolo XIII con un Francesco Antonio Migliani o Miliani, patrizio ascolano, sposato con Agnese di Marcello Saladini, nobildonna discendente dal ramo ascolano della famiglia Saladini, Conti di Rovetino da cui nacque Corrado Migliani o Miliani noto anche come Corrado d'Ascoli (Ascoli Piceno, 18 settembre 1234 – Ascoli Piceno, 19 aprile 1289) che fu un religioso italiano, appartenente all'Ordine dei Frati Minori e venerato come beato dalla Chiesa cattolica il 19 aprile. Il suo corpo è custodito nell'urna presso la chiesa di San Francesco di Ascoli Piceno. Nell'opera "La vita del Beato Corrado d'Ascoli di Francesco Antonio Migliani Patritio d'Ascoli accademico tra gl'Innestati detto l'Acerbo" stampato in Macerata nel 1664 sono ben descritte tutte le gesta del Beato.
