Ancient and noble Italian family, originally from Puglia, which flourished nobly in Molfetta, Foggia and Canosa di Puglia. A branch moved to Calabria, more precisely in Mormanno, where it was sometimes transcribed only as Minerva, and there received the title of Counts in person Don Francesco M., by decree issued by His Majesty Francis II of Bourbon, in 1861.
