Antica famiglia di Altino, detta Miollo o Miolli, la quale appartenne al Maggior Consiglio, passata in Venezia, ove godette chiara nobiltà. La famiglia levò per arme. Croce di Sant'Andrea formata da 8 losanghe a 2 a 2 appuntate al centro di rosso su oro. Alias. 9 losanghe di cui 5 poste in banda su 4 poste in sbarra tutto di rosso su oro. Altro ramo. Antica famiglia pugliese, di chiara ed avita virtù, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Tal casato, al dir di illustri genealogisti, casato venne, verosimilmente, fregiato del cavalierato, in seguito alla partecipazione, sotto i vessilli aragonesi, connotata da coraggio e virtù, di un Giampiero Miolli alla guerra d'Otranto, del 1481, contro gli ottomani.
