La famiglia Mionica appartenne al ceto nobile di Comacchio, sin dal 1776, anno in cui il Consiglio Generale del Comune di quella città, il 20 marzo, elesse alla carica di anziano Gaetano Mionica e la deliberazione venne approvata il 27 marzo successivo dall'Eminentissimo Legato di Ferrara. Da Gaetano, discende Filippo, nato a Comacchio il 18 settembre 1783, il quale, sposatosi con Rosa Pilati, l'8 luglio 1815, ebbe Gaetano. Questi prese in moglie Marianna Fantini dalla quale nacque Filippo l'11 giugno 1849, che a sua volta, sposatosi con Antonietta Cavalieri d'Oro, appartenente a quella nobile e distinta famiglia comacchiese, il 25 febbraio 1886, ebbe Giovanni, e il 17 luglio 1891 Teresa. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di Nobile di Comacchio ed è rappresentata da: 1) Giovanni, di Filippo di Gaetano, con la sorella Teresa. 2) Giuseppe, di Vincenzo, di Antonio, coi figli: Vincenzo, Amalia. Antonietta.
