Famiglia Parmigiana. Si nobilitò per opera di Stefano e Vincenzo figli di Francesco, il quale era povero ed onesto operaio. Stefano (1768-1832) fu chiarissimo dottore in medicina e chirurgia, chirurgo consulente di Maria Luigia d'Austria, chirurgo ordinario nell'ospedale civile di Parma, ove si distinse per attività e perizia singolare per oltre un ventennio, professore di chimica chirurgica nella patria università, consigliere nella sezione chirurgica del Protomedicato. Vincenzo (1780-1846) fu buon cultore delle muse e percorse i più alti gradi nell'amministrazione del governo ducale, avendo prima servito il governo francese. Nel 1806, fu segretario generale del Comune di Parma, direttore del Deposito di Mendicità del dipartimento del Mediterraneo. Raccomandato ad Elisa granduchessa di Toscana fu nominato prefetto di Ginevra, dalla medesima principessa fu mandato ad Aiaccio per affari particolari. Fu quindi direttore del Deposito di Mendicità del dipartimento dell'Arno, vice-prefetto di Grosseto fino al 1813. Caduto l'impero fu a Parigi, dove
