In document dated 1326 of the Bini Collection (Chapter Arch Udine N. II-XLVI) an Andriuccius dictus Mistruz filius Jaconussi de Venzono is appointed for the first sprint. Another document of 1336 illustrated by V. Joppi ("A Mosacense document of 1336", Udine 1891) named a Jacominus qm. Antoni de Venzono. Provided that the Jaconussius of the first document is, as is likely, the same person as the Jacominus of the second, it would be indicated Antonio di Venzone, who died before 1336, the progenitor of the ancient family of the Mistruzzi counts. In the generations that followed the first three, the nickname of Mistruz continued, until at the end of the fourteenth century we saw it alternate with that of Vraising, a name of undoubted Germanic origin, and which is believed to derive from Freisingen, or Freisinger.
