Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Morice, seigneur de l'Oiselinière, fils de Guillaume, et Macée sa femme, font en 1367, l'arrentement d'un hébergement sis dans la paroisse de Notre Dame de Clisson; Jean, fils de Morice, fait un acte d'acquêt en 1390 et épouse l'hérotière de L'Écorse; Olivier, chanoine de Tours en 1388; Pierre, abbé de Villeneuve mort en1424; Rolland, accompagne le duc en France en 1418 et épouse Jeanne, dame du Marchais, dont: Olivier, garde des sceaux de Bretagne en 1457 et Jean, bouteiller de la duchesse d'Amboise en 1451, ce dernier, père de Jean, qui a continué la branche des seigneurs de l'Écorse, dont Charles, chevalier de l'ordre en 1648; de Pierre, auteur de la branche de Kerangat; de Jacques, auteur de la branche de la Verrie, maintenue à l'intendance de Tours en 1666 et par arrêt du conseil de 1785, dont un membre du conseil supérieur des armées vendéennes, blessé à l'attaque de Granville et tué à la bataille du Mans, en 1793. La branche aînée fondue an XV siècle dans Prézéau.
