A família Como, que se acredita ser de origem hispânica antiga, se espalhou ao longo dos séculos em diferentes regiões da Itália, das quais o Hospital Maggiore Giovanni Antonio era outro deputado nobre. Em seguida, passou para a Holanda, onde enriqueceu bastante, Pietro Antonio (1712-1803) obteve o feudo de Colônia, na área milanesa, com um diploma em 22 de dezembro de 1768, com um título elegante e com a nobreza transmissível na linha masculina para homens e mulheres.
