The family took the surname Molinari at the end of the eighteenth century when Luigi, the son of Giovani Francesco, was established as universal heir by the marquis Antonio Molinari, son of the marquis Bartolomeo with an implicit nuncupative testament published with a 10 kind instrument. 1794. The said marquis Bartolomeo, Antonio's father, was the brother of Marta, father of the aforementioned Luigi, and had obtained the title of marquis with a diploma from the imper. Charles VI of June 27, 1725 and had posed him against the fiefdom of Mettone which had been invested on April 11 of the following year. It was therefore not difficult for the family to obtain the renewal of the marquis title in 1888. But the family was noble even before the said renewal.
