Es wird angenommen, dass sie aus dem Neapolitanischen nach Sizilien gekommen ist. Er genoss den Adel in Palermo, Messina, Syrakus. Ein militanter Riccardo, Ehemann von Maria Alagona, erhielt von König Giacomo die Konzession des Buccheri-Lehens, ein Lehen, das am 15. Februar 1313 an Gerardo Montalto, Riccardos Sohn, zurückerhalten wurde. Giovannuzzo, Sohn von Gerardo, erhielt am 1. Februar die Bestätigung des Buccheri-Lehens. 1339 und schickte es an Troiso oder Turgisio, der ein Siniscal und eine Familie von König Friedrich war, am 16. Dezember gekauft. 1369 das Casalgerardo Lehen und war 1406 Hauptmann der Justiz von Syrakus; ein Corrado, wurde in der Stadt in den Jahren 1400-1401- und 1403-4 vereidigt; ein Marco war 1406-7 Senator von Syrakus; am 3. Juli 1453 bestätigte ein Giovanni das Buccheri-Lehen und war in den Jahren 1440, 1445 Senator von Siracusa, und vielleicht war er selbst der Giovanni, der 1460 die Position des Strategoto von Messina innehatte;
