Gonçalo Moniz, veio a ser pai de Fernão Ruiz Monteiro, Mestre da Ordem de Aviz, e de Egas Monteiro que herdou as terras e Padroados de seu pai. Deste ultimo veio a ser quarto neto Martim Afonso Monteiro que viveu no Porto, de que em 1325 era Vereador, como o veio a ser em 1454 Fernão Monteiro.
