Ursprünglich aus der Provence stammend, kam sie mit Karl I. von Anjou in das Königreich Neapel. Wir erinnern uns an Pietro de Mores, Soldat und königliche Familie, er wurde am 20. April 1277 vom Amt des königlichen Henkers investiert; Giovanni und Tommaso, Knappen des Königs im Jahre 1279; Matteo, Richter von Salerno im Jahre 1290; Nicola, Richter und Stadtrat der Stadt Capua, 1327 beim Henker von Sizilien, 1334; Alexander, rationaler Meister der Magna Curia im Jahre 1330; Guglielmo, Herr von Montella, zusammen mit Alvino Carbone im Jahr 1302. Diese Familie ließ sich in der zweiten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts mit einem Salimbene in Montecorvino nieder und wurde in die Rolle der 23 Familien aufgenommen, die seit dem 15. Jahrhundert den Adel dieses Landes bildeten.
