La famiglia Morlani proviene da Stezano, paese vicino a Bergamo nella pianura. Se ne hanno notizie in documenti antichissimi dell'archivio capitolare di Bergamo e dell'archivio disperso di Astino. Con decreto Reale 22 marzo 1891 e regie lettere patenti 21 ottobre dello stesso anno la famiglia ottenne la rinnovazione del titolo di conte della famiglia estinta dell'ava paterna Maria Carrara-Beroa, e con Decreto ministeriale 22 giugno 1908, ottenne l'inquartamento delle relative armi. La fam. è iscritta nel Libro d'oro della Nobiltà Italiana e nell'Elenco Ufficiale Nobiliare Italiano col titolo di conte (mpr.), in persona di: Guido, di Luigi, e di Donna Carlotta dei conti Parravicini nato il 22 luglio 1866, spos. a) in prime nozze il 7 ottobre 1891 con Amalia dei conti Revedin Marchesi S.
