Linaje navarro con casa solar en la villa de Iguzquiza, del partido judicial de Estella, de la que descendió Pedro M., natural de Iguzquiza, que casó con doña Juana de Mauléon, natural de Arroniz (Navarra), naciendo de esta unión Pedro M. y Mauleón, natural de Iguazquiza, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Casilda M. y Albizu, su deuda, natural de Salvatierra de Álava (hija de Diego M., natural de Iguzquiza, y de doña Casilda de Albizu, natural de Metauten, Navarra). Tuvieron a Diego, Juan Antonio, Pedro y Joaquín M. y M., naturales de Iguzquiza, y los cuatro Caballeros de la Orden de Santiago con fecha 3 de Agosto de 1694. Originaria de la casa de Iguzquiza, hubo otra en el Valle del Baztán, del partido judicial de Pamplona. En 1754, Martín M., natural de Arroniz y vecino de Arellano, todo en Navarra, por sí, y en nombre de Juan José, Francisco y Antonio M., sus hijos, obtuvo autorización de los Tribunales de la región para usar las armas de M. de Olexúa.
